Connect Google Business Profile
Link your clients' Google Business Profiles to ReputeMap and sync reviews into one unified inbox. Step-by-step setup in minutes.
Connect Google Business Profile
Connecting a Google Business Profile is the first thing you do for every client in ReputeMap. Once a profile is linked, we pull its reviews into your unified review inbox, keep them in sync, and unlock AI reply drafts, alerts, and reporting for that location. Most agencies have their first client connected within a few minutes.
Heads up: ReputeMap is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We connect to your client’s profile only with their permission, using Google’s standard authorization screen.
Before you start
You’ll need:
- A ReputeMap account. If you don’t have one yet, create one free — no credit card, about 15 minutes to set up. New here? Start with Getting started.
- Access to the client’s Google account, or the client available to click an authorization link you send them. They must be an owner or manager of the Business Profile.
- The client’s business name or address handy to confirm you’re linking the right location.
Connect a profile
- Sign in and open Clients from the main navigation.
- Click Add client, then choose Connect Google Business Profile.
- You’ll be taken to Google’s authorization screen. Sign in with the account that manages the profile (or have your client do this on their own screen — see “Let the client connect” below).
- Review the access Google requests and approve it. ReputeMap only requests what it needs to read reviews and post replies on the client’s behalf.
- Back in ReputeMap, pick the business and the specific location(s) you want to manage. A single Google account can hold many locations — select only the ones for this client.
- Click Finish. The location now appears on your multi-location dashboard.
Let the client connect (no shared passwords)
If you don’t have the client’s Google login, send them a secure connection link instead:
- On the client’s page, click Invite client to connect.
- Enter their email. ReputeMap emails them a one-time link.
- The client clicks the link, approves access on Google’s screen, and they’re done. The profile flows straight into your account — you never handle their password.
What happens after connecting
- Initial sync. We import recent reviews right away. Larger profiles finish in the background, usually within a few minutes.
- Ongoing sync. New reviews and edits are pulled automatically on a regular schedule, so your inbox stays current without manual refreshes.
- Replies publish to Google. When you approve an AI-drafted reply, it posts back to the live Google profile. If a publish ever fails, your drafted text is preserved so you never lose it — and you can post it manually.
- Alerts go live. Once connected, negative reviews (1–3 stars) can trigger email, Telegram, or WhatsApp alerts so you respond fast.
Plan limits
Each plan includes a set number of locations: Starter (5), Growth (15), and Pro (30, with white-label). Add more locations as you grow. If you hit your limit while connecting, you’ll be prompted to upgrade or free up a slot.
Troubleshooting
- No locations appear after authorizing. The Google account may not own or manage any profiles. Confirm the client granted owner or manager access, then reconnect.
- “Access expired” on a connected client. Google authorization can lapse. Open the client’s page and click Reconnect to refresh it — your reviews and history stay intact.
- Wrong location synced. Remove the location from the client’s page and reconnect, selecting the correct one.
Next steps
With reviews flowing in, set up review request campaigns to grow ratings, and schedule white-label PDF reports to show clients the results.
